Our desire is to become more like Christ by spending time in His Word, in prayer, and in Christian fellowship. Please browse through the course descriptions below and pray about where God would have you join us this fall. Childcare: Childcare for infants through age 5 is provided for both Tuesday and Thursday morning classes only. Childcare is NOT provided for evening classes. Each week will include Bible story time, crafts, coloring, outdoor play (weather permitting) and a snack. The cost is $3 per child, or $6 maximum per family per week. Beloved Disciple: The Life and Ministry of John by Beth Moore Teacher: Judy Trexler • Room 241, $20 What is the spiritual condition of your heart? Is it hardened with worry and doubt, or is it beating strongly through a deepening relationship with our risen Lord? As we study the life of John, we will see that love and confidence of salvation through Christ are healing balms for troubled hearts. Note: this class is a two semester class; all returning students will need to pay a $10 registration fee in January. Covenant, God's Enduring Promises, by Kay Arthur Teacher: Carolyn Smith • Room 222, $25 This inductive study with videos invites you on a journey into a more personal relationship with our covenant-making and covenant-keeping God. Learn about the remarkable ways the Old Covenant points to the promises of the New Covenant. See how the Old Testament relates to the New Testament, and discover the covenants God made for you.
Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman, by Beth Moore Teacher: Cathy Reed • Room 231, $20 It's just as tough being a woman today as it was in Esther's time. We'll peel back the layers of history and discover just how relevant and contemporary these Scriptures are for us now! Join this year-long study as we gain God's treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives. Note: This is a two semester class; all returning students will need to pay an additional $10 registration fee in January. Matthew, Part 2, Precept Upon Precept Teacher: Linda James • Room 233, $10 After a review of Matthew, Part 1, we'll complete Part 2 of our Precept study. New students will need to purchase the Matthew curriculum for an additional $25. Come gain a deeper understanding of the resurrection and its power in your life. Enjoy lively discussion and interaction as we learn who we are in Jesus Christ according to God's Word. Following our Matthew studies, we will complete, The Christian Life and Witness Course by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. You'll learn how to share your faith in daily situations and how to take care of new believers.
I John — Stonecroft Study Teachers: Susan Loucks and Joyce Chadwick • Room 237 $15 This study for new or growing believers will give you assurance of your position in Christ and help you live a triumphant life in Him. This Scripture begins and ends talking about life - the kind of life that is fulfilling and meaningful. This study includes the "Good News For Modern Man" translation of 1 John, making it easy to find the Bible passages as you complete your homework and share in class. A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place by Beth Moore Teacher: Rometa Arrington • Room 234, $25 This in-depth Bible study explores the fascinating account of the building of the tabernacle, the significance of its intricate design, the grand fulfillment of its purpose in Jesus Christ, and its personal applications to your walk with God today. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His people, bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. Let your heart become the dwelling place for the Most High God. MOMS: Making Our Mothering Significant James: Be Mature, by Warren Wiersbe Teacher: B.J. Elmore • Room 242, $15 Our MOMS class is designed for young mothers of preschool children. The class includes large and small group discussion, homework, teaching, prayer support, and informal "mom to mom" time. Come join us as we study the book of James, a practical book with advice on overcoming temptation, controlling the tongue, praying effectively, and practicing what the Bible teaches. Breaking Free, by Beth Moore Teacher: Ellen Cook • Room 233, $25 Discover transforming power and freedom in Christ through this in-depth study of Scripture. Major themes will be drawn from the book of Isaiah, where we will compare the captive Israelites to the New Testament believers who became "free" in Christ.
