Calvary's Bible Training Institute offers courses for certificate credit through the Evangelical Training Association (ETA). The program is comprised of 22 courses in the areas of Bible and theology, church ministry skills, leadership skills, and outreach skills. Classes are sometimes offered as Wednesday night electives on a 12- week schedule, as independent study courses, or they meet in a workshop format on Saturdays. Participants have the option of earning credit towards a specific ministry certificate that is accepted by most mission agencies.
All ministry certificates are comprised of four credits and are progressively categorized as the following:
Foundational Church Ministries Certificate:
Growing Towards Spiritual Maturity (1 credit)
Understanding People (1 credit)
Electives (2 credits)
Standard Church Ministries Certificate:
You & Your Bible (1 credit)
Electives (3 credits)
Completion of any two Bible Survey courses (taken at either Foundational or Standard level)
Prerequisite: Completion of the Foundational Certificate
Advanced Church Ministries Certificate:
The Triune God (1 credit)
Electives (3 credits)
Completion of the Bible Survey course (taken at any level)
Prerequisite: Completion of the Standard Certificate
Leadership in Church Ministries Certificate:
Effectively Leading (1 credit)
Perspectives from Church History (1 credit)
Electives (2 credits)
Prerequisite: Completion of the Advanced Certificate
