Calvary is offering six independent study courses in addition to its regular classes. To receive credit for these courses, participants must read the required textbook and view the course DVD or CD. Once completed, students will meet one-on-one with Pastor David Ingrassia to review their understanding of the material before receiving course credit. ETA Independent Study courses: • Sunday School Ministry (DVD) – This course will discuss the traditional purposes, functions, and organization of the local church program known as Sunday School. • Teaching Adults with Confidence (DVD) – This course will provide in-depth training for those who are teaching the Bible to adults. • Teaching Techniques (DVD) – This course will focus on the philosophical basis of methodology, include insights from current research, an overview of classroom usage, and principles of selection for specific purposes and audiences. • Teaching Youth with Confidence (DVD) – This course will cover the importance of youth education to fulfill the biblical mandate to change lives by making disciples. • Understanding Music and Worship (CD) – This course will provide a historical overview of music and worship, its biblical foundations, as well as practical instruction on how to bring renewal within the local church. • Understanding People (DVD) – This course will help equip Bible teachers with effective ministry skills.
