Calvary Update Regarding Coronavirus
All of us have been following the updates regarding the coronavirus. Despite these uncertain circumstances, we know our God is in control, and we trust in His sovereign purposes.
In accordance with the Stay at Home orders in effect in Mecklenburg County and North Carolina, as well as current federal guidelines, Calvary Church continues to support the ongoing efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus.
While we should not be fearful, the health and safety of the Calvary community and our broader community are priorities. We seek to make wise decisions and be loving neighbors and exemplary citizens.
Calvary continues the suspension of all church services and ministry activities.
- LIVESTREAM — We are livestreaming our worship service Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. Please plan to join us at live.calvarychurch.com or on Calvary Facebook.
- GROUP MEETINGS — There will be no congregation in attendance for worship services, no ALGs, no ministry meetings, no weekly Bible studies, no Wednesday activities, and no in-person group gatherings.
As many of these gatherings transition to Zoom video conference meetings, we will update information on our website, and group leaders will communicate details to participants.
- OFFICES — Our church offices and campus are closed. Do not come on campus unless specifically authorized in advance by Pastor Munro or Jordan Shaw, Chief of Staff.
- GIVING — Tithes and offerings should be given online or by mail: Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte, NC 28226
We have not identified a specific date to resume services and activities. We will provide further updates here, on social media, and through the Looking Up weekly email newsletter on Fridays.
Please continue to be in prayer for this developing situation and for all who are impacted by the coronavirus. Our trust is in the Lord.
“My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” — John 14:27
