Matthew was raised in a Christian home in Southwest Virginia and lives in Charlotte with his wife, Sparkle. He served in the U.S Air Force Chaplain Service for 22 years.  As a Senior Noncommissioned Officer, he was responsible for implementing policy, providing security for facilities and personnel, and supporting a comprehensive religious ministry. Matthew has worked at Calvary Church for 14 years.
