ESL Classes

Learn to speak and understand English


Calvary ESL (English as a Second Language) classes help internationals learn to speak English and understand American cultural expressions.

We offer multiple proficiency levels, plus pronunciation and discussion groups to improve vocabulary and conversational skills. New students take a placement test to determine their class level.

ESL classes are offered at Calvary Church on Monday and Thursday mornings in three semesters: Fall (September–November), Winter (January–March), and Spring (March–May). Please see the current schedule below.  

The cost is $55 per semester, including books and materials. Must be age 18+. Childcare is not provided. 

Fall 2025 Semester 

  • Weekly Classes: September 22 – November 20
    Mondays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM–12:15 PM

  • Placement tests and book distribution for new students: Monday, September 15
