Leadership: Communication of the Word of God
Teacher: Pastor John Munro | Banquet Room (in-person only)
This practical course is designed for those men and women who may from time to time give a short Gospel presentation, devotional, or other biblical challenge. Some of the essentials of effective verbal communication will be considered.
The Battle Is Real. Christ Has Overcome!
Teacher: Pastor Sibu Rajappan | Room 1200
Have you ever wondered why the Christian life sometimes feels like a battle? Scripture reveals that we have a real enemy who seeks to deceive, distract, and destroy — but God has provided everything we need to resist the enemy, remain faithful, and live victoriously in Christ!
Join us for this four-week Bible study as we discover what Scripture teaches about spiritual warfare, learn to recognize the enemy’s strategies, put on the whole armor of God, resist temptation and deception, and stand firm through God’s Word and prayer. Recognize the enemy. Know our Savior. Stand firm in Christ!
The Power and Purpose of Prayer
Teacher: Pastor Jim Pile | Room 401
Romans 12:12 instructs us to “rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Join us as we study Scripture focusing on the significance of prayer and its vital role in our Christian life. Together we will explore:
These classes will help you to develop a more intimate relationship with Christ through “constant” prayer!
Revelation: The Lamb Who Conquers
Teacher: Jon Allen | Room 446
Revelation reveals Jesus as the conquering Lamb, worthy of full allegiance and worship. Over four weeks, we will cover background, major themes, and key passages, providing a framework for personal study of Revelation. By tracing how the book calls its readers to choose allegiance to the Lamb over the Dragon, we will find relevance for the book of Revelation in the everyday lives of followers of Jesus.
Spanish Bible Study — Meeting God in the Old Testament
Teacher: Bill Ogden | Room 242
God is Spirit, and with our human limitations we cannot find Him. Yet from the beginning, God reveals Himself to mankind. This semester we will read the Old Testament as Auto Theography, God revealing Himself through His decrees, His acts, and His words.
